Noisy neighbors

For those of you who live in apartments/flats, how do you go about addressing a noisy neighbor? My culprit is directly above me, and probably was an extra on the movie 'stomp the yard'.
   Now, it wouldn't be as bad if the commotion occurred during the day, but it occurs at any hour of the day. Stomping, screaming, and crying. This girl has some issues, weird thing is I never hear a guy yelling. What are some good ways do deal with noisy neighbors?

    Knock on the radiators, man. Or take a broomstick and hit the ceiling with it until they stop. This guy sings like Justin Bieber next door, so I kick the wall and he always stops. Haha. Followed.

    Generally flats and apartments are pretty shittily sound proofed so Its not usaully your neigbours fault, If you can hear them I'm sure they can hear you too. I've always lived in flats and this is always a problem.
    If it really pisses you off you could put up another layer of soundproof plaster board, that would really help.
    Our neighbour has a roof garden right on top of our flat which has something (I think its a patio heater) on it that knocks on our ceiling when the wind blows it, just need to confront them and politly ask them to tie it down if it keeps on annoying me,no problem.
    I find earplugs to be a great help, you soon get used to them and it stops you getting angry with your neighbours.

    I no longer have this issue. I just bought my new home yesterday. I get to move in saturday.

    Just go to their door, knock on it and talk about the stuff that bothers you. It's the best way.
